DRAG QUEEN DUTIES: cLASSICAL BINGO
For Classical Drag Bingos (Drag Queens with an onsite coordinator)
The Onsite Drag Performer will coordinate with the Extragrams Onsite Coordinator who will text them and client the morning of the Classical Drag Bingo.
Send the performance tracks, if applicable, to the Onsite Coordinator. Keep in mind the vibe of the event and making sure the tracks are fun for everyone (think pop, high-energy).
The performer will arrive to the venue at least 10 minutes early to coordinate with the Onsite and meet with the client. The performer will also check in with the Onsite about what Bingo prizes are available.
At the top of the event, the Drag Queen will introduce herself and work the crowd, getting everyone excited for bingo. The QR code for bingo cards will be shared.
Explain the rules of bingo. The Queen can also share what the prizes are. If there are no physical prizes, you can make up a silly prize like "a compliment from a queen" or "`5 seconds of my undivided attention."
During Bingo, the Onsite will play the background music quietly. The queen will pull bingo balls and make quips, jokes, and interactive moments along the way.
If the Bingo includes performances, then the Onsite will play performance track(s) in the middle of the event between Bingo rounds. Make sure you take advantage of the space and work the whole room!
As winners come up, make sure to get the winner's name and make them feel special. In the event of a tie or a multiple winners for grand finale prize, do a show-down. Popular ones are dance-offs, lip sync battles, or catwalk competitions. You can choose a winner based on applause.
At the end of the Classical Bingo, the offer to take group photo and pack up the materials. Thank the audience and be fiercely on your way!
